We returned this book for a refund! Hoping for yummy treats like we’ve eaten at the bakery, my wife wanted this book. No sooner did she open it from under the Christmas tree and try a recipe did we discover the cupcake was HORRIBLE and INEDIBLE! My wife is an excellent and experienced baker, she’s a nurse and is all about following instructions. We’re not sure what went wrong with the recipe but it didn’t work and we didn’t try again.

Great book. Color pictures, nice layout. The cover of the book has that nice soft feel to it. Great recipes (I have yet to try them out though).

I bought this as a gift for out of town relatives so I never saw the product, but they enjoyed it. The only thing I can attest to is fast shipment time.

I bought this book as a shared gift – one for my Best Friend and one for me! We’ve both licked many a frosted-finger eating Magnolia cupcakes . . specifically, RED VELVET! On our last trip to NYC, we visited both the original bakery in Soho and the Avenue of the Americas store. We even boarded our flight home carefully maneuvering security and crowded waiting areas with our sweet treats. Lucky, we did! Our flight was delayed over one hour due to weather and our 1.5 hour journey became almost a three hour trip. Those two Magnolia “beauties” saved us from certain discomfort and irritability. The recipe books are souvenirs as well as inspiration for homemade replicas with sweet memories!

I love magnolia bakery! So, to be able to make my favorites at home anytime I have a craving is great. My favorites are the vanilla vanilla cupcake and the banana pudding. If you have never had these sweet treats, then you haven’t lived.
